Originally written by Sting and later reinterpreted by Cloudkickers feat. Marcus, “Bring On The Night” found another life in house music through Rocco’s TroDeep remix released in 2008/9 on label Newlite Muzik – a version which went on to become a classic on dancefloors around the world.
Fast forward to 2026 and Eswatini-born DJ and producer !Sooks made his own version – one that’s stayed in rotation across sets from Kid Fonque, Ralf GUM and Jullian Gomes. Some conversations later, and the idea emerged: what if this version had a voice? Enter J’Something, award-winning South African vocalist and musician and one-third of popular SA house trio Mi Casa.
The result gives a house classic a new perspective – preserving what made it originally connect, while shaping it for today’s listeners and dancefloors.
