Growing up in Ivory Park, Midrand, Thakzin was surrounded by music from an early age, later developing a sound that moves freely between Afro House, electronic music and the 3-Step movement he helped bring to wider attention. His connection with Stay True Sounds includes collaborations and remixes before returning in 2025 alongside Divine Keys for “Stick Around”, a stripped-back, rhythm-led release that sits naturally within his evolving approach to South African electronic music.
