Deav Martian is a South African producer and beatmaker with a sound that draws from jazz, hip-hop, soul and electronica. First discovered by Stay True Sounds founder Kid Fonque in the label’s early years, he has since become a familiar part of the Stay True Sounds family, releasing music and contributing to projects across the label and STY TRU BTS. His approach is open and instinctive, bringing together different influences through warm textures, off-kilter rhythms and plenty of groove, while always leaving space for experimentation.
