Originally from Seshego and now based in Johannesburg, Aquatone is the deeper alias of South African producer Da Capo, exploring atmospheric, groove-led house music with a distinctly underground edge. Blending deep house, dubbed-out textures and immersive sound design, the project first appeared on Stay True Sounds in 2021 alongside Jazzuelle before returning in 2026 with Nowhere (I Can Go) (Aquatone Dub) — a beautifully restrained rework of the soulful house classic by Clara Hill and Atjazz.
